The Committee for Studying the Behaviour of Packaging in Sorting Centres (COCET) is the result of a partnership among various stakeholders in the value chain for sorting household packaging made of paper/cardboard, plastic and metal.
All members of the committee are jointly responsible for the processing of personal data carried out in connection with the operation of this website “cocet.fr” (hereinafter “the Website”). The joint data controllers are:

- Pellenc ST, a simplified joint-stock company with share capital of €7,092,800, registered with the Avignon Trade and Companies Register under number B 435 267 885, whose head office is located at 125 rue François Gernelle, 84124 Pertuis Cedex 4, France;
- TOMRA SORTING, a limited liability company with share capital of €50,000, registered with the Salon de Provence Trade and Companies Register under number 537 709 461, whose head office is located at 181, Boulevard de la République, 13300 Salon de Provence, France;
- Sepur, a simplified joint-stock company with share capital of €2,209,500, registered with the Versailles Trade and Companies Register under number 350050589, whose head office is located at ZA du Pont Cailloux, Route des Nourrices 78850 THIVERVAL GRIGNON.
This Policy informs you about how personal data concerning you may be collected and processed when you use the Website. It may be amended at any time, particularly as a result of changes to regulations and legislation.
The term “personal data” denotes any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
How your personal data is processed
COCET members process data for express, legitimate and defined purposes. Your data is collected for the periods specified in this Policy. It should nevertheless be noted that your data may be retained for longer periods where necessary to meet legal obligations or to protect our legal interests. In such instances, your data will be retained for the period necessary to meet such legal obligations or until the expiry of the applicable limitation period.
Your personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
Using your metadata (server logs and cookies) – We collect login details such as IP addresses, browser types and settings, and login dates and times in order to:
Detect, prevent or address fraudulent activities abuse, security breaches, or any technical issues encountered by our teams (for example fraudulent access of the information system);
Analyse Website traffic and gain an understanding of how the Website is being used and improve its performance (audience measurement cookies).
This metadata is collected on the basis of the legitimate interest of COCET members to ensure the security of the Website and to manage and improve it.
For security reasons, the complete metadata, including Users’ IP addresses, is retained in access logs for a period of three months.
For the purpose of measuring the website’s audience, metadata is stored in an anonymised form and processed in an aggregated manner.
This data is intended solely for the authorised personnel of COCET members as well as subcontracting service providers, particularly the technical suppliers of the Website.

Contacting COCET – You can contact us, for example using a designated form, to submit a request or a comment to us.
In order to respond to any questions, suggestions or complaints, we process information related to your requests and your identifying data. Data identified by an asterisk on the contact form is compulsory. If you do not provide this data, we will be unable to process your request.
Such processing is performed in pursuit of our legitimate interest in responding to your various requests and helping you, where possible, to resolve any difficulties encountered. We will be unable to respond to your request without this information.
Any personal data passed on is solely intended for authorised persons within COCET members as well as subcontracting service providers, particularly the technical suppliers of the Website.
The data processed for this purpose is retained for a period of one (1) year from your most recent contact with us.
Exercising your rights under GDPR – In order to exercise your rights under GDPR, you must provide your identifying data and, where applicable, a copy of your identity document.
We need this data to identify you and enable you to exercise your rights.
This processing is based on the legal obligation of every data controller to respond to requests from data subjects exercising their rights.

Exercising your rights
In accordance with current regulations, you may, under certain conditions, exercise the right of access, rectification, erasure, opposition, and portability with respect to all your data. Moreover, you are entitled to issue specific and general instructions concerning the storage, erasure and transfer of your data after death.
You may object to the processing of your personal data where processing is performed in pursuit of our legitimate interest. COCET members will cease processing your data unless legitimate and pressing grounds prevail over the user’s interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Finally, where data is processed based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
To facilitate the exercise of your rights, COCET members have chosen to appoint Citeo as the point of contact for data subjects regarding the processing carried out in connection with the Website.

COCET members undertake to process personal data entrusted to them and/or collected by them in accordance with regulations, and in that regard, undertake to:
Only collect and process personal data to meet objectives related to the purpose for which it is being collected;
Only collect and process data for the time required to process it;
Maintain the security, integrity and confidentiality of collected and processed personal data;
Take all necessary safeguarding measures if data is to be transferred to a country outside the European Union;
Take all appropriate technical and organisational steps to protect personal data in light of the current state of knowledge, implementing costs, and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing, as well as risks of variable degrees of probability and seriousness to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, in order to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.
You are hereby informed that, in accordance with the regulations in force, your data could be passed on to the competent authorities on request, specifically to public organisations, officers of the law, ministerial officials, debt recovery agencies, exclusively to meet legal obligations and to prosecute offences committed online.
